Jailhouse Rock
Elvis Presley

(words & music by jerry leiber – mike stoller)

The warden threw a party in the county jail.
The prison band was there and they began to wail.
The band was jumpin and the joint began to swing.
You shouldve heard those knocked out jailbirds sing.
Lets rock, everybody, lets rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin to the jailhouse rock.

Spider murphy played the tenor saxophone,
Little joe was blowin on the slide trombone.
The drummer boy from illinois went crash, boom, bang,
The whole rhythm section was the purple gang.
Lets rock, everybody, lets rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin to the jailhouse rock.

Number forty-seven said to number three:
Youre the cutest jailbird I ever did see.
I sure would be delighted with your company,
Come on and do the jailhouse rock with me.
Lets rock, everybody, lets rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin to the jailhouse rock.

The sad sack was a sittin on a block of stone
Way over in the corner weepin all alone.
The warden said, hey, buddy, dont you be no square.
If you cant find a partner use a wooden chair.
Lets rock, everybody, lets rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin to the jailhouse rock.

Shifty henry said to bugs, for heavens sake,
No ones lookin, nows our chance to make a break.
Bugsy turned to shifty and he said, nix nix,
I wanna stick around a while and get my kicks.
Lets rock, everybody, lets rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin to the jailhouse rock.

I Want To Be Free
Elvis Presley

(Jerry Leiber – Mike Stoller)
1957

There's no joy in my heart,
only sorrow
And I'm sad
as a man can be
I sit alone in the darkness
of my lonely room
And this room
is a prison to me

I look at window
and what to I see
I see a bird
way up in the tree
I want to be free free
Free – ee – ee – ee
I want to be free
like the bird in the tree

What good are my eyes,
they can't see you
And my arms,
they can't hold so tight
I have two lips
that are yearning,
but they're no good to me
Cause I know I can't kiss you tonight

I look at window
and what to I see
I see a bird
way up in the tree
I want to be free free
Free – ee – ee – ee
I want to be free
like the bird in the tree
I want to be free
like the bird in the tree.

Cadence 26.211
1961

I'm gonna knock on your door, ring on your bell
Tap on your window too
If you don't come out tonight when the moon is bright
I'm gonna knock and ring and tap until you do

I'm gonna knock on your door, call out your name
Wake up the town, you'll see
I'm gonna hoot and howl like a lovesick owl
Until you say you're gonna come out with me

Hey little girl, this ain't no time to sleep
Let's count kisses instead of countin' sheep
How, how can I hold you near
With you up there and me down here

I'm gonna knock on your door, ring on your bell
Tap on your window too
If you don't come out tonight when the moon is bright
I'm gonna knock and ring and tap until you do

Hey little girl, this ain't no time to sleep
Let's count kisses instead of countin' sheep
How, how can I hold you near
With you up there and me down here

I'm gonna knock on your door, ring on your bell
Tap on your window too
If you don't come out tonight when the moon is bright
I'm gonna knock and ring and tap until you do
I'm gonna knock and ring and tap and knock and ring and tap
And knock and ring and tap and knock and ring until you do.

High Class Baby – Cliff Richard — Presumida – Los Teen Tops

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on septiembre 16, 2008 by abel63

High Class Baby
Cliff Richard
1958

Bye, bye, baby doll, I find you too high class
I bought myself a ticket, but you won’t let me pass
This pink champagne and caviar are all very grand
But I prefer just rocking to a rock ‘n’ roll band

In a joint that’s a hoppin’ and a cat that’s a boppin’
There’ll be no stoppin’ me, wait and see
A lotta things I gotta do, go put on my dancing shoe
Honey, I soon lose the blues, bye bye, my baby

(High Class Baby 2x)

Well, go and find a rich man, put your arms around him
Tell him that you love him and go out and drown him
May be wich you’re riches, you’ll find true happiness
But I’ll stay here a-rocking, ‘cause it’s what I love the best

In a joint that’s a hoppin’ and a cat that’s a boppin’
There’ll be no stoppin’ me, wait and see
A lotta things I gotta do, go put on my dancing shoe
Honey, I soon lose the blues, bye bye, my baby

(High Class Baby 2x)

You’ve got sable mink and a Cadillac
Believe me honey, you’re taking things too far
You can’t find a true love with a sack of gold
Come on and love me, little honey, before you grow too old

In a joint that’s a hoppin’ and a cat that’s a boppin’
There’ll be no stoppin’ me, wait and see
A lotta things I gotta do, go put on my dancing shoes
Honey, I soon lose the blues, wait until you hear the news
You’re still my own true, my very own true
You’re still my high class baby

(High class baby, high class baby) Baby, you’re so high class
(High class baby, high class baby) Don’t be mean to me, baby
(High class baby, high class baby) Baby, you’re so high class
(High class baby, high class baby) Don’t be mean, baby.

Who Put The Bomp? – Barry Mann — ¿Quién puso el Bomp? – Los Teen Tops

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on septiembre 10, 2008 by abel63

Who Put the Bomp

I'd like to thank the guy
Who wrote the song
That made my baby
Fall in love with me

Who put the bomp
In the bomp bah bomp bah bomp?
Who put the ram
In the rama lama ding dong?
Who put the bop
In the bop shoo bop shoo bop?
Who put the dip
In the dip da dip da dip?
Who was that man?
I'd like to shake his hand
He made my baby
Fall in love with me

When my baby heard
Bomp bah bah bomp
Bah bomp bah bomp bah bomp bomp
Every word went right into her heart
And when she heard them singin
Rama lama lama lama
Rama ding dong
She said we'd never have to part
So………

Who put the bomp
In the bomp bah bomp bah bomp?
Who put the ram
In the rama lama ding dong?
Who put the bop
In the bop shoo bop shoo bop?
Who put the dip
In the dip da dip da dip?

Who was that man?
I'd like to shake his hand
He made my baby
Fall in love with me

Each time that were alone
Boogity boogity boogity
Boogity boogity boogity shoo
Sets my baby's heart all aglow
And everytime we dance to
Dip da dip da dip
Dip da dip da dip
She always says she loves me so
So……..

Who put the bomp
In the bomp bah bomp bah bomp?
Who put the ram
In the rama lama ding dong?
Who put the bop
In the bop shoo bop shoo bop?
Who put the dip
In the dip da dip da dip?

Who was that man?
I'd like to shake his hand
He made my baby
Fall in love with me

MIXTURE: Barry SPEAKS: Darlin, bomp bah bah bomp, bah bomp bah bomp bomp
And my honey, rama lama ding dong forever
And when I say, dip da dip da dip da dip
You know I mean it from the bottom of my boogity boogity boogity shoo

Este video es de un grupo llamado "The Lucky Duckies" y me ha gustado como la cantan.
